Surgical treatment of a 59 year old male who sustained a displaced femoral neck fracture in a kite surfing accident is presented. Patient was indicated for open reduction and internal fixation, this was carried out using an anterior (Smith-Peterson) approach. A detailed step-wise procedure is shown for the approach and for the fixation of the fracture using a 2.4 mm plate and 7.3 mm cannulated screws. Post operative x-rays are presented to show 1 year follow up for this patient.
