Surgical Hip Dislocation for Femoral Head ORIF

Occasionally, the location and complexity of femoral head osteochondral fracture is such that wide exposure is required for internal fixation. This can be accomplished through trochanteric osteotomy and surgical dislocation of the femoral head. This video demonstrates this technique used in the fixation of a comminuted Pipkin II fracture.
