This video demonstrates correct surgical technique, tips, and tricks regarding application of the reamer-irrigator-aspirator for autologous bone graft harvest. The case presented describes treatment of a polytrauma patient who sustained an open tibial fracture with segmental bone loss complicated by osteomyelitis. We focus on bone graft harvesting from the femur using the reamer-irrigator-aspirator. The bone graft was ultimately used to fill the tibial defect following the induced membrane technique.
